I’ve got my head down, working on book 2 in the Widow’s Brew series which–ta-da!–now has a title: The Merry Viscount. At least, I think that title will stick. I haven’t seen a cover yet.

The release date for book 1 in the series, What Ales the Earl, is less than two months away: July 31! Reviews are beginning to come in. Kirkus called the story a “fun, heartwarming Regency romance.” If you’re a reviewer, the book is up on NetGalley here. If you’re a Goodreads member and would like a chance to win an ARC (Advance Reading Copy), my publisher is running a giveaway on Goodreads here. Don’t delay! The contest ends June 15.

In other book news, I’m excited to say that When to Engage an Earl, the last book in the Spinster House series, is a finalist in the historical category of BOTH the Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America’s Booksellers’ Best award and the Oklahoma Romance Writers of America’s National Readers’ Choice Award. Both organizations have award celebrations at the national Romance Writers of America conference in July, so I’m looking forward to getting together with the other finalists, seeing old pals and meeting new friends.

I’ve been a bit scarce on social media as I’m scrambling–as usual–to meet my deadline. If you need to reach me and aren’t having luck there, do feel free to send me an email. And if you are in the Denver area, I’d love to see you at the huge RWA “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing on July 21. You can find all the details here.
